Welcome, Wildcats! West Sedona Elementary School is located in Sedona, Arizona, one of the most beautiful towns in America. As the only public elementary school in the Sedona-Oak Creek Unified School District, we serve students from preschool through fifth grade. At West Sedona School, we are dedicated to fostering a nurturing, challenging, and engaging environment for our students.

A Message from Our Principal

Hello, West Sedona!

I’m Alisa Stieg, and I’m honored to be the principal at West Sedona Elementary. As a proud Arizona native, Sedona has a special place in my heart since it is where I spent many childhood summers.

I’ve been an educator since 1988, teaching Pre-K through sixth grade and serving as an administrator since 2013. My passion lies in supporting students, families, and staff through a whole-child approach. I’m certified in early childhood and elementary education, and have served in an early learning center focused on building strong foundations. I also hold certifications in mindfulness and resilience coaching, and I’m pursuing a second master’s degree in character education through a UK-based fellowship.

I believe in the power of a growth mindset and strong school-community partnerships. Together, we can help our students dream big and achieve even more.

I’m also a proud mom of three amazing kids and three fur babies. Thank you for supporting me—I look forward to working with you again this year. I will always give West Sedona my very best!
